@divija_bhatt Hi Divija!
I agree with your prediction completley. I think although the reliance on many different forms of social media can be very detrimental in differentiating between reality and falsehood. I do agree that this will occur but do not think it is a good thing for society.
@_elmerguevara Hi Elmer!
I do agree with you and I believe we have very similar predictions of the future of privacy. I would like to believe the government will put major privacy standards in place to protect the people.
@christineyyang7 Hi Christine!
I completley agree with your prediction, I believe as time progresses so does our technology and the ways in which they cater to the wants of their users.
My fact based technology prediction is that there will be more issues with privacy and misinformation as an impact of digital technology. #DigiTechS23A
@machaelap13 I really enjoy this idea!! I personally have purchased many products due to tik tok’s influence. I believe many tik tokers advertise products and also post what they use which influences consumers!
@Cpkrutgers I agree with this! I believe that social media has definitely been the main form of news for many! Personally, I get notifications from twitter and immediately know! Instead of a newspaper or even a news site. Instagram, Twitter and Snapchat are fast to post news!
For my EDTP project, i’m going to be focusing on the wallet feature on apple products and applications such as venmo or zelle that allow money to be sent electronically ! #DigiTechS23A
@ajwilson702 I agree with you that digital technology has given many people the opportunity to create relationships. Such as tinder, many couples in our generation have met because of a dating website as opposed to a connection made in person.
@EMMAOBR40102661 I agree that many people over share personal details online. I enjoy the “GRWM” trend but it allows many to know everything that one does. On other forms of social media such as instagram or Snapchat, i believe many people over share information that should be kept to themselves.
@jilliancronin7 I agree with you that the way in which information is perceived now is not as credible as it used to be. We don’t always know the credibility of websites and information which can be detrimental.
One social norm that has changed in the modern digital age is facebook profile. tons of personal information becomes public(age, political views, job, academics, hobbies) Facebook has the feature to also updating statuses on any topic.
