It was want to see the idolatry and confirmation bias get married, critique travel sports and read the replies. 😂 It’s extraordinary, “I already know, and I don’t need to question anything.”
Investing in a 529:
-make return on your money
-does not depend on your child’s athletic or intellectual abilities
-can be used for many educational expenses
-can be converted to an IRA or given to another child or grandchild
-does not require you to sacrifice your family
Travel sports:
- guaranteed family time every weekend
- tour the entire country, see the sights
- kids gain athletic skills and priceless memories
- chance at scholarships/NIL money
- kids stay out of trouble
- make friends with people in town
This is supposed to be “bad”?
@TrafficBrokerX@chrisorzy Most children have 0% chance of securing the NIL bag. Like 99.8% of them, even if they play travel ball until the Resurrection.
America is praying for Austin.
But there is something profoundly cynical about asking God to solve a problem we're not willing to solve ourselves.
God moves and works through us. God has no other hands but our hands.
We must act.
They spend $16K on their son’s travel baseball career. The kid has a nutritionist. Parents are spending $16k a year on travel baseball and calling it ‘opportunity.’ It’s not opportunity. It’s parental foolishness & idolatry dressed up as ambition & success. #WormwoodFTW
The Big 12 is my guilty pleasure. The B1G and SEC bring seriousness, history, and authority.
Big 12 is a mosh pit with broken glass and syringes on the floor. Girls are on the curb outside crying. I’d call this the best collection of safety schools on earth, but that’d be an insult to safety.
