@RazorwireRPG Fallout 2 the protagonist is canonically 'the chosen one". Oblivion the emperor has been dreaming about you and foresaw you savibg the world. But the most egregious inclusion on this list is Morrowind. The entire plot is about getting the world to recognise your chosen oneness
@skarsghardy I mean to be fair to Karsus if he hadn't chosen the god holding magic together his also would have worked. The only difference Gale made was his choice in target
@tysonphotoo 'If I beat Ozai, and I'm not sure that I could' a quote from Iroh. He doesn't think he is stronger than his brother. Now in this scenario Ozai is smacked because the other 3 will target him first but in terms of raw power and skill he is the strongest
@ddreamer9159@wattanokomi@The_Chad_Bod Fair, the first part was one I hadn't super put together. So I was writing off the second part as paying for that

The "Gifted Kid" to "Anxious Adult" pipeline is realizing you never actually learned how to study – you just learned how to be naturally good at things.
Now, as an adult, if I can't master a new skill perfectly in the first 5 minutes, my brain doesn't say, "You need practice."
It screams: "You are a fraud, your intelligence was a lie, and we must quit immediately before anyone notices."
@kurohitsuki My bad. I had been trying to work it out as a character from shandalar (I was thinking Raven Man or an Onakke), so when I heard the jace x vraska joke I filled in the gaps wrong
@AlexisTakeThree It's more that the ones who wrote the history books were the winners rather than the other way around (a key example being records of norse history being written from Saxon Monks) but it is mostly an oversimplification and one that is being corrected
