@BareSware@lackingsaint Trans representation in Antifa is pretty strong, but it seems to mostly involve throwing a lot of milkshakes.
Can't say I recall conservatives remarking, "Dang, look at how non-violent these milkshake throwers are."
@GreatAegon@Esqueer_@TheTNHoller They don't care about any kids. It's the 14 words, just a slogan they repeat because they can. They care only about their goal of genocide.
I heard Ron DeSantis is trying to relegalize child labor, actually. That's a big time child mortality engine, child labor.
In 2019, I traveled by bus up to Canada with a group of diabetics to purchase insulin for a fraction of what they were paying here in the United States. Today, Eli Lily has significantly lowered its insulin price to $35 a month. Grassroots pressure works. Let's keep going.
@realchiefkief@fuckyouiquit Next trick is making it to middle or upper management and convincing investors to think this way, while managing not to be prosecuted for a fiduciary violation.
But hell yeah, chief.
The NYT’s decision to privilege this type of conservative, anti-“woke” perspective is predicated on the idea that the diagnosis underlying the reactionary moral panics over “cancel culture” and “wokeism” is correct, that these are indeed national emergencies. 12/
The mainstream media’s commitment to platform and push these pieces over and over again is remarkable. In the midst of an escalating rightwing assault on academic freedom and proper state censorship of free speech on campus, this is what the NYT wants us to worry about. 5/
@TransiTorri@Esqueer_ It's the last, easiest target. Their last ditch effort. Transphobia is Fascism's last little pinky toe on their foot in the door.
I really want to body slam that door shut. Maybe we can get some sh1t done afterward.
@AceHardcastle19@WyrdKyd @BenedictStohner @_RoscoeSteele@VaushV It's a problem that a corporation de-listing a thing can have such a wide reaching effect. But it's within their rights to do so. One can argue corporations have too many rights.
@AceHardcastle19@WyrdKyd @BenedictStohner @_RoscoeSteele@VaushV There are differences between being publicly critical of a book or a pundit or an actor and banning it/them, also.
Also between getting a corporation to de-list something as opposed to state suppression.
@AceHardcastle19 @BenedictStohner @_RoscoeSteele@VaushV True, sounds like an easy way to tell if a book had "inappropriate sexual material aimed at minors." Because it was on the banned book list.
Oh. This easily google-able report looks interesting (IIRC, "To Kill a Mockingbird" was one of them):

@AceHardcastle19 @BenedictStohner @_RoscoeSteele@VaushV Any thoughts on the growing lists of banned books and class curricula in right-leaning states lately?
