If it was mine I would have done what I needed to get battery out as fast as possible, even the cmos motherboard battery, buy 20 gallons of distilled water and feed it through my air compressor paintbrush sprayer and drench anything I can reach with it. Last gallon would be 10% isopropyl alcohol to help aide drying.

Distilled water wont conduct electricity, dries clean on electronics.

Might sound strange, but if yiu drop electronics in the water, best to keep them wet until you can properly restore.
