For 20years I've been telling doctors that I have very painful, long, and extremely heavy periods. Yesterday a dr finally listened and within hours I had relief that came in the form of 2 pills. No more diapers for my periods! #relief #lysteda #doctors

@ThomasKlineMD @NationalPainCo It's multifaceted: Disability is revolting to them, they see needing opiates to function is the same thing as feeding an addiction, they want to cull the "weak and useless", they see chronic pain as a personal moral failure and most frightening is willful ignorance.

@ibdgirl76 It wasnt even my dr who cut my dose in half abruptly last week, just 2 weeks before surgery, it was my insurance company. Now I'm in so much pain I cant take it much longer. Idk what to do as I cant afford it out of pocket

I dont know how long I can endure this. The pain is so bad that I can hardly do anything. Each breath feel like something is ripping off my ribs. I'm be punished for the crime of being a chronic pain patient and it feels like I'm being tortured. This isnt right.

@ibdgirl76 Now it's not just the doctors. My insurance company wont cover many doses anymore. Last week my insurance company forced my dr to cut my medication in half effective immediately. No taper. Now I can barely move without intense pain. My ability to actively live my life has ended.

I was finally at a point where I could function and do the basic daily chores and tasks. Now I can barely breathe without it causing agony. I dont deserve to be punished and tortured like this. #pain #opioids #cpp

Doctors should really normalize saying “I don’t have the answers but let me send you to someone who might” instead of “you’re fine” or “must be anxiety”. Instead of victim blaming they need to see past their ego and truly help us out!

@BabsRags Opioids are my only option medically after being dismissed until I nearly died then butchered by a surgeon. I cant walk without my pain medications and my dr informed me today the insurance company wont allow me to have the 1 opioid that is safe and effective for much longer.
