We're sad to inform you that University of Sheffield management has asked us to discontinue our popular #zooarchaeology shortcourses. Sadly, one of our most enlightening piece of community engagement, which brought funds to manage our labs, has gone @sheffielducu@ICAZ_News
As Uni management continues to disrupt our work, it's important to remember the background. Part of UCU series State of the Uni 24-5, here's a summary of the vandalistic acts that led to the closure of the Archaeo Dept at Sheff Uni. Share! @sheffielducu https://t.co/5pjQD2icOp
We haven't posted a link to Ossatura for a while so here it is again - please keep liking it, commenting on it, and sharing it. Most importantly - never forget! https://t.co/dQhG95NK6t

Make no mistake -although we could eventually not save the whole department, our battle to save Archaeology was a triumph as we exposed injustice, maintained integrity and gained respect from all over the world, while those responsible for our closure were just covered in shame.
Though we are looking forward to this new chapter, we will continue to fight for our university, for the discipline of archaeology and against the war on culture that has been pervading the UK and the rest of the world.
A Department whose contribution to the world of research has been and continues to be huge. From today we are no longer part of the Dept. of Archaeology and we will join wonderful colleagues at the School of Biosciences.
Congratulations to our wonderful @tracyplatts!! Here she is after her PhD examination with examiners Gianna Ayala & @jimbonesmorris & with her boyfriend @justarchaeology. Tracy's work makes us understand a lot more about the geography of Roman butchery. @UniShefArch
a brilliant museum with an important collection with which we have worked closely for many years - if it closes, it will send yet another disturbing message about the place that education and culture currently have in this country, namely 'bottom' https://t.co/xo2GUXnjCb
