Just an FYI, I will not respond to random DMs without being given a clear introduction and reason why someone is messaging me. I don’t do RP and I don’t engage with sketchy, bio-less accounts, trolls, or anti-zoo harassers.
@collinsgru I’m fishing for an rational objection here. I’m well aware that people have irrational preferences. Given the conditions being met in my OP, there seems to be no rational to objection. Why continue to support aggregate suffering and cruelty when there is a viable alternative?
I’ve noticed the main opposition to lab-grown meat is fear. Many seem to believe that it will be unhealthy or unsafe in some way but these fears never tend to have strong data to support them.
If lab meat is/becomes affordable, safe, and nutritious, why oppose it?
I’m eating lab grown meat the second it’s mass market ready. It’s biologically identical to animal meat and will reduce suffering more than any technology in the history of our planet as long as enough people switch over from factory farmed meats.
@collinsgru@Jack_7752@Anti_VT It’s bizarre and irrational to expect fraternity and association based on sexual attraction and identity to not primarily focus on sex. I’m sure there are various animal welfare communities/forums if that is the chief concern. Why would the emphasis on “zoo” be needed otherwise?
This is the harsh truth, poignantly expressed.
If you’re an ordinary man in despair or struggling profoundly in your mental or spiritual help, you are or eventually will be on your own and left to face your darkness alone. No one will save you. No one will even want to.
=/ "Stop trauma dumping on me! GO AWAY!" People often echo the sentiment of "never do it" but usually only after it's too late. I almost never see it before that point, let's be frank-- if you are struggling people don't want to hear about it. They don't want to deal with it. Keep it to yourself and "this isn't the place for this". Then when someone's gone it's all "oh wow that's so sad! never go through with it!"-- after throwing a wall at their face.
Even in the furry fandom, let's be serious: It's competitive. (1) are you, yourself, hot? (2) are you wealthy and have a nice fursuit and art? (3) are you a popufur and have social connections? Let's not beat around the bush on that. If you aren't one of those people don't have time for you.
Peel back the layers. We have a loneliness epidemic. We have an insecurity epidemic where so many young men even in their teens now are injecting steroids to fit a physical ideal. We have major life milestones like getting a house or getting married (let alone having a stable LTR lol) that are just out of reach. We have an economy that turns it's nose up at recent college graduates where you can't even get a basic job out of school anymore.
We've created the perfect chamber for people to have no connection and feel lost and lead them down to the conclusion of "I don't want to be dead. But living is too painful."
Constant rejection. Socially. Workplace. Life milestones.
But no if you bring up ANY of this you are silenced cause no one, while you're alive, wants to hear it. They want you to shut up. Get out of their face, don't waste their time. Kicked from telegram groups, banned from discord servers, ghosted by friends.
And I count my blessings I've yet to ever be kicked from a telegram group or banned from a discord server myself but I myself know to not even try.
I'm just fatigued at the lip service after someone's dead because that's how it always goes. Everyone's SO SORRY about it and "never do it" after the fact but how many people have the social support to actually reach out and actually have someone care?
And let's not piss around. Therapist at least where I live 1 hour is $225. And even in Canada with health insurance (yes we need this) even Sunlife and other health insurance companies have a max copay of roughly $1k a year. And I'm talking their most premium plans running almost in excess of $150 a month.
But that's again presuming they have the job and income to support that. Going to therapy once a week is almost $1k a month. And for someone already struggling that's not a viable valid option.
So social supports, friends and actively reaching out to those struggling is huge.
Reaching out especially because even I refuse to be the first to reach out. Why? Well a common string is "I'm a burden on others" "they are better off without me" "I don't want to trauma dump on them". These sentiments get burned into the back of their brain so they won't reach out.
Even scientific research on this topic indicates a huge reason why people even do commit is because they believe everyone is better off without them.
And can we blame them? Like I said the world is harsh and no one cares until after the fact. They're told they are "Trauma dumping". And if you aren't physically attractive, if you aren't in a top tier fursuit, if you aren't a popufur you'd be damned right that you probably don't have a hope in HELL of having someone care about you.
Here is funny art of that problem. The art showcases it well, they don't give a flying turducken

So in an apathetic world that doesn't want to hear about your problems, in a world that only cares of what they can get from you, where your goals have had the ladder kicked out from under us by the last generations... what's left?
But hey if you bring this up you can enjoy being told you are "trauma dumping". Well unless you're hot to them. In which case we all know why they aren't telling you to sod off.
Why do I say this? Well because I lived it. Living it? Yeah living it.
Some days are easier than others but today was a particularily hard day after an unexpected thing reminded me of the domestic abuse I suffered. Totally irrational cause for me to get upset and I know it. Yet it did. A bitter reminder of when I was abused, beaten and why I have a giant red scar on my literal left EYEBALL. On the eyeball itself. That's never going to go away-- a bitter reminder every time I look in the mirror.
People unfollowed even today, -15 because I posted about it.
Same happened to my non consent a decade ago, where after I was left on the side of the road to be ripped apart by coyotes and left with bruises on my neck and deep pitted scars I still have on my back. No one cared.
Same happened after my ex fiance cheated on me 1.5 years ago. There was no knight in shining armor coming to help.
Or even "trying to move on" and forcing myself to outings like the furry conventions. Yeah... even as genuinely positive and excited to meet new people as I was it was clear as day no one had time for me or wanted to be my friend. So these attempts to move forward? Thrown in my face.
Yet... I'm sure people will tell me I'm wrong. Yet I'm bringing up my actual lived real life experience. Unfortunately all too real.
No one cares. No one's coming to save you. But... I guess we all have the solace knowing AFTER we're dead people will use our death to score social cred.
What would be the argument against bestiality from the perspective that animals have personhood and equal status with humans? Such would provide the best grounds for it, it seems to me. If animals have autonomy, that would entail the capacity to choose who they have sex with.
@ethicsandfoxes@alwayswasamutt@3hydridoarsenic What would be the reason and argument categorically against zoophilia from the position that animals have personhood, autonomy, and equal status with humans? It seems to me that view provides the best grounds for justifying it which is indeed why many zoos adopt such a belief.
Animals at least can never be narcissists or sociopaths who will consciously tear your heart into shreds and crush your soul. They never repay your love with betrayal, rejection, or apathy. Who can blame those that prefers the seemingly unconditional, pure love of an animal?
Feminism and sexual revolution have instilled the idea that men and women are essentially and intrinsically the same with all the same propensities, capacities, teleologies, and desires. As such, the virtues unique to both sexes have been diminished.
The heterosexual world has never been more dysfunctional and the rift between men and women never wider. Marriage is an empty facade that often ends in the ruination of men. Porn, social media, and education have all distorted our romantic and sexual expectations.
It is darkly humorous that the supposed right thing to do as a zoo is pursue an exclusive relationship with a human wife but then you look at the dystopian abyss that is the modern dating world and how even “normal” men struggle mightily to find a decent mate.
@ZooeyDotPub 1. Yes you can ride them and yes, it’s ethical.
2. Horses are objectively beautiful as evidenced by art history.
3. They are majestic and powerful.
4. They helped build and advance human civilization.
5. They smell wonderful.
6. They are smart.
@CoyoteColt Is all training or conditioning of animal coercive and abusive in your view? If not, what makes housebreaking a dog different than rewarding a dog for performing sex? Both are altering behaviors in the animal to adhere to human will.
@collinsgru@Jack_7752 Burgers get a bad rap but they can actually have decent macros and be a good source of protein. When it comes to fast food it’s things like fries and soda that are the worst for you.
@alwayswasamutt I don’t have any interest in gatekeeping, but I’m not likely to associate or fraternize with anyone who delights in sadism and especially performs such acts. Such desires may not be entirely voluntary but to act on them and encourage them certainly is.
Ozzy Osbourne decided to stop using acid while recording Black Sabbath’s Vol. 4. He said “I took 10 tabs of acid then went for a walk in a field. I ended up standing there talking to this horse for about an hour. In the end, the horse turned round and told me to fuck off. That was it for me.”
