We tried to extend our understanding of low complexity regions (LCRs) in proteins. 🩳🧵 1/7

We don’t know exactly what causes the disconnect. We think it might be that properties of LCRs make it harder to maintain an appropriate level of the protein, so more instructions are made to compensate. We’re now researching the co-evolution of abundance and LCRs to see! 6/7
