The instaneous backtest came back at 3000% in one year.*
*Hypothetical backtest (2025). Not live results. Past performance doesn't guarantee future returns.
@marketbuyonly@GuardianFutures@Topstep ngl.
Spending that much to find out the rules changed after the fact is the real cost evaluations hide.
The terms worth trusting are the ones that hold steady between signup and payout, not the ones added later.
@Tradetron1 Calling a strategy fake after the report is still hindsight.
The better tell is whether the backtest separates what the price data actually did from what fees and slippage would have taken.

The mechanism that decides it is whether each account trades independently through its own broker, or whether one engine is pulling every lever at once.

You should be able to see if there is a curve lift or not.
Call us bias, but backtests that don't give you access to the logic and code are cringe.
@joseftrades Passing an eval and never getting paid is a rules problem, not a strategy problem. It's part of why strategies here run in your own brokerage account.
Drawdown, fees, payout should be yours to see, not decided by a review board after the fact.
