A little something for #Palaestine.
I saved this photo 2 years ago. ‘Struggle’ is the word that occurred to me the instance I saw this.
So, this painting is a tribute to struggles, to Palestine in particular and also to those at home & elsewhere. #CeasefireNOW#FreePalestine
Wildfires raging in Canadian forests, a food system that poisons its own supply chain, and a war grinding on in Iran, Lebanon, and Palestine look like separate headlines.
But they're manifestations of the same capitalist colonial greed—a system that treats the planet and life (both human and non-human) as profit to be extracted, not life to be protected.
The wildfires burn hotter and longer because the fossil fuel industry spent decades funding disinformation and lobbying against climate regulation, buying just enough delay to keep extracting profit while the atmosphere destabilized.
The parasite outbreak in our produce isn't bad luck — it's what happens when factory farming and industrial agriculture prioritize yield and margin over soil health, water safety, and worker conditions, and when regulatory agencies are starved of funding or captured by the industries they're supposed to police.
And the war grinding on abroad isn't just politics — it's also profit, linked hand in hand with greedy zionist colonial expansion.
War, like wildfire, like tainted lettuce, is a business line.
None of this is coincidence. It's what happens when decision-making power concentrates in the hands of unscrupulous individuals who are drive solely by self-interest, self-enrichment, and tribal supremacy; people whose loyalty is not to the public, the planet, or the future.
The billionaire class isn't a passive bystander to these crises. They're the authors of the policy environment that makes them worse, because destabilization is cheaper to cause than to prevent, and the costs land on everyone except the people making the decisions.
Those aren't just trees burning, but entire lives of entire nations—whole species who were already endangered by an insatiable capitalist greed slowly devouring us all.
Iran put everything it had on the line, everything, to stop the most heinous crimes, the crime of crimes and the supreme crime of aggression, in our time.
Standing completely alone in the world, it tied its own destiny to the people of Palestine and Lebanon.
And it almost succeeded.
Now imagine if only one, just ONE, other nation had stood with Iran on this issue.
Not a single country pressed Israel and the US to commit to the MOU.
Not a single one of the nuclear powers and all those self proclaimed ambassadors of peace.
Not a single neighboring Arab country.
Not even Lebanon itself.
They all just stood by and watched Iran fight alone and pay the price.
What an absolutely despicable and disgusting world we have created.
You don’t have to know a language to love a piece of music; this is above all. Brilliant music, the most honest vocals, and the most beautiful people. @humnavaworld is going to be my new muse.. https://t.co/xy7CpFTqlC
@zulfiqarjkhan is a genius like none other. Just when you think the beat cannot get better, he raises the notch. Also, the video, it stays with you. MashaAllah for the talent. @humnavaworld thank you! https://t.co/t38CT8VlBn
A 73-year-old artist. Pulled out of her car. Manhandled by veiled policewomen. Outside the Karachi Press Club. For trying to hold a press conference.
Kirmani performed dhamaal at Lal Shahbaz Qalandar's shrine days after the 2017 bombing that killed 88 people. The state could not break her then. Today they tried to break her outside a press club for asking permission to march.

The world knows @Malala . It should also know Iqbal Masih. Sold into slavery at four. Escaped at ten. Freed 3,000 children by twelve. Murdered at twelve. His story inspired a global movement. His own country forgot his name. This is your Sunday read. 14 minutes. Bring tissues.
If you are an Indian Muslim, there is no need to investigate or prove the allegations against you—your being Muslim itself is considered evidence of your guilt.
In Althan, a man named Aziz, accused of molesting a woman from the Patidar community, was paraded by the police and handed over to a mob for punishment; even police personnel were among those who assaulted him.

A legend
A Jewish activist protest at Rutgers University after they invited an Israeli soldier.
In response to Trump’s attempts to sow division in Iran, all senior Iranian officials jointly published a tweet tonight, stating that in Iran, there is no such thing as extremist or moderate; we are all resistant and resilient Iranians. With the extraordinary unity of the nation and state institutions, and in full support of Ayatollah Khamenei, the Iranian people will make the criminal aggressor regret his actions. One God, one leader, one nation, and one path — the path to victory for the Islamic Republic, more precious to us than life itself.
Finally the kind of role models Pakistani youth needs: Sualeh Arif.
Not property dealers, tax evaders, bank defaulters, rent seekers, born into wealth etc.
But a self-made kid from a middle-class family in Karachi. Studied at MIT, started a hugely impactful company, changed the way people write code, now worth over $ 1 Billion at the age of 26!

The Islamic Republic of Iran has welcomed dialogue and agreement and continues to do so. Breach of commitments, blockade and threats are main obstacles to genuine negotiations. World sees your endless hypocritical rhetoric and contradiction between claims and actions.
The core problem behind the lack of an agreement is exactly what I have been pointing out:
The U.S. is negotiating as if the war did not fundamentally change the equation
Iran is negotiating as if the war has shifted the balance in its favour
That gap is structural.
And this is why talks are stuck.
How do you reconcile two completely different versions of reality?
You don’t.
One side has to concede more than the other. Iran is more close to reality.
