Another thing that makes me angry is the Red Cross. I spent 491 days in the tunnels. I didn't see anyone from the outside world—no one. This is the Red Cross's mission. I reached out to the CEO and spoke with them in Switzerland. I asked, 'Why? We're in the 21st century, and these are human beings. You must verify whether I'm dead or alive, whether I need something, whether I have food. How dare you not do your job?'

He told me, 'Hamas won't let us.' I told him, 'If they don't let you, then don't provide them services.' For me, this organization is supposed to be neutral, international, and provide service to all humankind regardless of religion. It's a shame that for 730 days, they haven't reached the people lying in the tunnels like rats. This also makes me angry, and I think we need to change this situation for the future."
