1. In 2003, Buhari secured 1.6 million votes in Kano, while Kwankwaso, as governor, failed to deliver the state to Obasanjo and the PDP.
2. In 2007, Buhari received 1 million votes in Kano, and again, Kwankwaso could not deliver the state for Yar'Adua and the PDP.
3. By 2011, Buhari garnered 1.6 million votes in Kano despite the fact that the incumbent governor, Shekarau, was also on the ballot. Even then, Kwankwaso, as the PDP’s gubernatorial candidate, could not deliver Kano to Goodluck Jonathan. In fact, Kwankwaso had to seek support from Buhari's base to reclaim the governorship against Shekarau’s anointed candidate, Salihu Sagir Takai.
4. In 2019, Buhari obtained 1.4 million votes in Kano. Kwankwaso failed to deliver the state for Atiku and the PDP, losing all three senatorial seats to the APC and failing to win a single House of Representatives seat.
5. In 2023, running as a presidential candidate himself, Kwankwaso received 997,279 votes in Kano, failing to reach even the 1 million mark for his own bid.
6. Despite this, Kwankwaso claimed on national television that he delivered 1.9 million votes to Buhari in 2015. Instead of acknowledging Buhari’s personal popularity, he ignored the fact that he used Buhari’s momentum to win his second gubernatorial term in 2011 and his Senate seat in 2015.
7.History shows that Kwankwaso has never successfully delivered Kano to a presidential candidate, not Atiku, Obasanjo, Yar'Adua, nor Goodluck Jonathan, let’s see the magic he will perform in 2027.
This is 30! ✨
Happy birthday to me ❤️
A decade ago, as a 20-year-old, i had dreams bigger than my fears and faith bigger than my circumstances.
Today, I stand as a woman who has earned every lesson, every scar, every win, and every room she walks into. Sometimes, I look at my life and I’m genuinely in awe of all I’ve achieved at this age.
The journey hasn’t been easy, but it has been worth it. I’ve grown through pressure, learned through pain, and evolved into a woman I’m deeply proud of.
And somehow, through it all, I still became H.E.R!
30 looks like confidence, purpose, alignment, and finally knowing exactly who I am.
Here’s to many more blessings and a future even greater than I imagined. 🤍

Press Release: Our father, Mallam Nasir @elrufai, is still being held by the ICPC. Today, 15 May 2026, we witnessed two distinct yet equally serious attacks on his basic rights. First, his personal Doctor visited the ICPC at about 3pm to discuss the results of medical tests recently conducted on our father. Officials at the agency blocked the doctor from seeing him, claiming that written permission from the ICPC Chairman was required. This directly flouts a clear court order granting Mallam Nasir El‑Rufai unrestricted access to his doctors.
Second, his wife, Aunty Aichatou, brought his evening meal at around 7pm as she normally does. ICPC personnel turned her away, saying they had orders not to permit food deliveries after 6:30pm. This arbitrary rule is no less offensive than blocking his right to medical care.
These acts are an outright assault on the rule of law and a clear violation of our father's constitutional and human rights. No lawful detention justifies denying medical access or refusing basic family care based on an arbitrary curfew fixed by the ICPC. Shame on them as an institution.
We demand that all his constitutional rights be fully respected. We will no longer accept this pattern of intimidation dressed up as protocol. The ICPC must abide by the very laws it claims to enforce.
