Only devs will really care about this but all the ships in my game are 2.5D parallax slices. Its pretty subtle in-game but just gives a very slight illusion of depth when you turn
@Giulio6686 about 5 full years.
What brought me back? Idk i played it again with a lot of distance from it, and i was much closer to a real player than "the dev" and it was actually kinda fun, even in the sort of broken/bad state it was in.
Also maybe just masochism
@Giulio6686 I'm going to be finalizing the encounter system for my demo. Right now its kinda just "an amount of ships" that spawn in the world, but after this weekend they're going to be more Diablo 2-esque. Unique packs, champion packs, they'll have affixes, etc.
Early mockup vs now. After going to a Map Fair we decided the sea should be a 300-year-old Sea Chart instead of a more oil painting style. been working on this since 2018 (lol) #ThrowbackThursday
@GamewithDave honest data point: we tracked ours last week. most of our replies in those threads got 2-4 views. the only ones that did anything were where the host actually plays or features the games. otherwise it's devs pitching to devs
@realkenwillis captain contraband: a pirate roguelike played on a 1600s sea chart. the trailer's from an older build, new one coming soon. https://t.co/GWB842pM6k
