Ilma Afroz is an officer we see as Heroes in our movies. At one of the events, where we both were speakers, she REFUSED all token of gifts from the organisers, saying that she can’t accept them in her official position. I had never seen any govt officer like her before. Not to mention, her humble background and phenomenal struggle.
Corrupt politicians and bureaucrats see such honest officers as a threat. So, they did what they had to do.
