So incredible that the @guardian wanted to interview me about founding Mission Remission and building our early diagnosis campaign.

@suttons_seeds Guys, just a bit of friendly feedback - I often get not 1 but 2 emails from you a day - which has meant me cancelling them all. Once a week ok, any more, it feels like a bombardment! I also never registered for your newsletters, so you might want to look at that too 😬
@CharlotteAugst @haroldthimbleby It is v different culturally too. When teachers are trained you’re told to focus on the learning, not the teaching - i.e. student activity/benefit (see Bloom’s Taxonomy). Meanwhile, strategically & behaviourally the NHS focuses on care & clinical processes rather than healing.
@CharlotteAugst @haroldthimbleby It’s very different. No-one, especially clinicians, seems to believe they have the power to change hospital trusts, whereas teachers lead schools and can change culture entirely.
From my experience, the school business managers take the lead from the head.

I spoke to @BBCBreakfast this morning on the cancer crisis.
Most days I swing from mad fury at the state of our health service and the lack of action to address it… to abject terror of what it means for me and those I love.
Things need to change!
This morning, Laura spoke to BBC Breakfast about the barriers people are facing to cancer diagnosis.
With over half of people not being treated swiftly, we need radical action and radical change!
So what does change look like?
Here’s the clip:

One step forward…?
Going to get in touch with the private secretary team today to find out next steps…
Any ideas what happens when a Health Secretary leaves?
Does everything start from scratch again?
I have no idea!
Really pleased to meet @sajidjavid last week
…when he was Health Secretary(!)
He was passionate about speeding up cancer diagnosis, listened to our 5 calls for change, and planned to introduce us to decision-makers & his policy team to implement our patient-led recommendations.
Hi @WhatsApp - is there any way you could please add the functionality of creating different areas on WhatsApp - so I can group all my ‘work’ convos or ‘campaigning’ convos or ‘family’ convos into one area? The only area option currently is the archive! Thanks
“I overheard a nurse saying there were no ‘real patients’ in A&E that night… I was sent home feeling guilty for wasting their time.”
This is a shocking read, but no surprise. It’s why my sister’s dead. @_1aura doing amazing work to bring change. #Cancer https://t.co/g1OXL4eciB
While people wait for a cancer diagnosis, there are far too many barriers to help.
Often, you receive little support and even less information - which can cause huge delays to treatment.
I wrote something for the HSJ on what needs to be done about it:

@charlesdowding I bought your recommended long-handled dibber a few years ago, it as great but alas has since gone AWOL. Looking at the one recommended now it is 60cm, which feels shorter than the one I had. Do you know if they have they shortened the length? Thanks!
