Apocalypse coughs, feeling a rib that had broken reset itself. "Didn't want to catch you in the collateral, babe...my abilities aren't exactly precise. I'm more of a 'fuck everything in that general direction' kinda guy."

Slowly, he propped himself up on his elbows to sit up.

She lets reaches and slits her other arm open for a new onslaught of blood to fill his mouth , her yellow eyes flicking across his recovering features . shakey , weak hand comes to hold his face as she looms at him with the ghost of a smile to try and soothe him .

wracking his body with pain. "Ngh, ngggghfuck-" Apocalypse curses through clenched teeth. "Fuck, I must be getting rusty....never would have let myself get jumped like that back in the day."

The blood drips into Apocalypse's mouth, the harbinger of Armageddon swallowing feebly. The effect is immediate- the hole in his cheek begins to sew itself shut, threads of muscle and lattices of bone extrude from his severed stump of an arm. He coughs violently, the action

The sight of him makes her whole body get ice cold , and she shoots over to him as fast as possible . In an instant , his form is in her arms and she’s hauling him towards her kitchen table . With ease , she lifts and lays him down before rushing to the kitchen .

Apocalypse walks closer, letting Piper see how badly wounded he was: a missing hand, a missing eye, a piece of his cheek missing revealing teeth underneath. Burns, cuts, bullet holes. He limps towards her, on the verge of collapse.

"Blood..." he rasps. "Need blood...."

Her balcony is covered in cigarette butts after pacing for what felt like eternity and smoking her packs empty- waiting in agonizing worry for any sign of him .

The moment her eyes catch sight of the movement , she whips on her heels and perks up to stare .

For hours, there's no response. The glow of Tokyo burning is lost in the sunrise as Piper waits...and waits...and waits...

Until a lone figure approaches, limping and stumbling towards her door.

She shifts and moves towards the window at his words , the tone almost rattling the receiver against her ear .
She approaches her glass doors of her deck and presses a hand to it as she watches the light in the sky grow at an incredibly fast rate .

Unnatural silver light flooded the night sky as a second moon hung over Tokyo.

He can hear the way her voice has perked up and her words are full of her growing smile.

He sighs. "So, I'm gonna destroy Public Security. It might cause a lot of collateral damage, but I've had a trick up my sleeve that I've been saving for a rainy day. Exactly how far away from Tokyo are you?"

A pit forms in her stomach, grip on her phome tightening as she pushes up to stand, pacing as she heads to grab a cigarette.

A flame ignites the end and she inhales a lungful of smoke.
