There is an exceptionally bright, well-mannered, and disciplined student at my school who is struggling because of poor eyesight. Even while sitting at the front of the class, he cannot see the board unless it is very close to his eyes. Due to financial difficulties, his mother has not been able to get him the glasses he needs. Pep is in a couple of months and I really want him to get the glasses before that time.
I have promised to take him for an eye examination, but I may not be able to afford the glasses afterward. Once we have the prescription, I can share it with anyone willing to help and assist directly. I am not collecting money, only seeking support for this child to see clearly and continue doing well in school.

@KyleAnthonie Our light went at 12:25am where I am in Kingston. Waiting patiently to see how long we get back light. Last year Berly, we got back light in less than 24 hrs. But I must say tho, the amount of people who are getting back light fast, it’s commendable.

Attention! As of the 4 AM update from the hurricane center, Major Hurricane Melissa's maximum sustained winds have now increased from 150 mph to 160 mph making her a Category 5. She is now moving slowly toward the west at 3 mph and remains on track to make landfall in Jamaica.
