Hey Composers! In Compose version 1.4.0-rc01, we released a new experimental AndroidView composable that can improve your app’s scrolling performance when you have a LazyList with AndroidViews.

This effort is a result of feedback we’ve received around recreation of expensive Views while scrolling in a list: https://t.co/WbZb9j8sC0. Lazy list-based components like Grid and Pager should also see some performance gains.

@PeterAG1989 @Zhuinden I can’t think of a good reason to extend from LifecycleOwner, but LifecycleObserver is useful if you’re making a helper class that needs to do something in onDestroy, for example.

That said, I don’t recommend passing a LifecycleOwner into a ViewModel, since it might leak memory.
