My rent went up $300 a month.
I told people I couldn’t afford it. They said just move.
So I looked up what moving actually costs.
First month’s rent. Security deposit. Application fee. Credit check fee. Moving truck. Utility deposits. Time off work to do all of it.
That’s $4,000 minimum just to escape a rent increase.
The solution to not having money is apparently having money.
Poverty isn’t a mindset problem.
It’s a locked door that charges you to find the key.
Let's see how people defend this one. No slurs. No insults. I want to know what part of making medicine more expensive for the world at large does in benefiting anyone that isn't in the 1%
its an age verification bill. they are trying to implement it in the us under the disguise of "protecting children" so they can brand anyone who opposes it as a pedophile. watch out for these
For context, when Winona Ryder eventually started doing interviews again after being out of spotlight, she was still being asked about, and having to explain nicking a few items from a department store. This utter scumbag is getting fluff piece softball interviews.
This I quite the visual. Surrounded by obscene wealth and proudly announcing that you’re introducing a surveillance system that will ultimately benefit you. Cause soon they’ll be knocking at your door as to why you said something bad about that horse-faced monarchy
If these "age verification" laws aren't swiftly crushed, incidents like this and identity theft will become more and more common.
Putting everyone online at risk for superficial gains at best is a losing strategy.
