NFTs are meant to be fun, lighthearted collectibles that grant access to a social club centered around them. When you blur the lines between fun and expected returns or value, you lose sight of why you enjoyed them in the first place. It’s about coming together, showcasing your NFTs, highlighting your favorite NFTs, and rocking your PFP. It’s about showing up on X to raid posts, hanging out with others on Discord, and knowing we all believe in Cardano and crypto as a whole, a temporary escape for some.

Let’s not forget how far this ecosystem has come and how much further we have to go. It’s a never ending journey, but when you demand timeframes for deliveries or create high expectations, you’re essentially setting a death date. It will never be enough, months of work on something bring only temporary joy, quickly turning into "What's next?"

We didn’t start Black Flag to post hype driven announcements aimlessly every day. Or to announce meaningless partnerships that do nothing for the brand. We launched this with the simple goal of bringing fun back to collecting, and we’ve accomplished that in our eyes. But that just means we have so much more room to introduce new ideas, new journeys, and new beginnings. We take great pride in our work and love the small community we’ve fostered.

We have many plans, but we will keep most of them unannounced behind the scenes to uphold our promise of never overpromising. So, expect nothing and see how it unfolds. 🫡

One aspect in development is the entire engine that will power this project. It's currently being upgraded to be even more powerful and flexible! 💪

We're also working on a way to recruit single pirate holders to existing crews and enable co-ownership of ships with fellow holders. Combine your pirate holdings to form a larger crew and set sail together. 🤝

This is all still very early, so expect many changes as we move forward. This includes UI/UX, POIs, art, icons, and much more. We're excited to let our holders test and share their opinions on the direction because, at the end of the day, we value all suggestions from our community.
