Andoni Iraola revealed what Florian Wirtz told him after Liverpool 4-3 victory at Anfield.
Reporter🗣️: Andoni Do you mind telling us what you were telling Wirtz after the game.
Andoni 🗣️“Of course, he had a great game and after the final whistle I went to him and said, Hey Flo, this is what I’ve been wanting you to add to your games, add us goals and assist as we need them to go far as a team.”
He replied back that he’s getting there soon as he begins to understand my Plan and project to the whole team.”
After him just saying that I realize that what we were onto is really important and helps the players improve their games on the pitch, I’m happy for him because it’s getting easier now for them.”
“I told him again that, it’s the premier league way of adapting, what the manager brings to you is what you head up with, and for me been here in the PL for so long I think it’s important for him to get better quickly and adapt.”
It’s just his second season in the league, he has to go through some scenes to get better.

PSG finished stronger because they were fresher. That is not the same as being superior.
Barcelona matched PSG for long stretches, had more of the ball, and twice dragged the game level (Yamal solo goal + Espart on his full CL debut), created almost as many big chances, and matched PSG for touches in the box and only dropped off late.
Ligue 1’s lighter load lets PSG rotate freely and arrive fresher. La Liga’s tighter schedule makes that almost impossible for Barcelona. One night against a side managing minutes before the Clásico does not rewrite anything.
Was this a gap in quality, or just a gap in rest and squad management?
