Although succulents don’t need as much water as other plants. They still need dense soil with good porosity and water retention, so when it gets water the soil and plant will be able to benefit from it. @franklinlorax#apesland
My family has a garden, and there is a layer of humus on it, which is a very nutrient rich substance that will help improve the plants growth! #apesland@franklinlorax
We live in a Biome with cold winters and hot summers. So since this isn't a biome such as a savanna or tropical rainforest (both hot with either dry or wet conditions) we have February's with temperatures in the 20s.

Both of my cats are K-Strategist’s which means they produce quality over quantity. In other words they have few offspring, but they raise them and care for them! #apesecology@franklinlorax
In class we found that the United States needs better nutrition because we have overnutrition where we overeat and malnutrition where we lack a good diet. This protein bar would be a part of a good diet because it includes good minerals and protein. #apespop@franklinlorax
I carpool with my friends, this helps to reduce our ecological footprint. With less cars on the road there is less air pollution and greenhouse emissions admitted. @franklinlorax#apespop
The water from our sinks comes from Lake Michigan. Leaving the water running while brushing your teeth wastes an average of 4 gallons each time. Turning the water off can save up to 8 gallons of water. #apeswater@franklinlorax
#apeswater@franklinlorax In Franklin, our water undergoes sedimentation, filtration, and chlorination before we can drink/wash with it, by being purified at the purification plant in Oak Creek.
My family uses a water filter so our drinking water doesn’t include any bacterias or other harmful chemicals. This way our water is purified and safe to drink! #apeswater#franklinlorax
