From July 1 to September 9, 2026, conservation officers on weekend patrols with the BC Wildfire Service handed out 98 tickets under the Wildfire Act, for a total of $112,700.

West Coast Region Patrol - Rowbotham Lake 🎣

#Nanaimo Conservation Officers are increasing patrols of #RowbothamLake following reports of illegal fishing activities.

Rowbotham Lake is a quality-managed fishery, offering excellent rainbow trout fishing opportunities.

Waterbody-specific regulations on this lake require the release of all trout, single barbless hook and artificial fly only. The use of bait is prohibited in addition to the general provincial regulations.
