Bringing the 14th CPA Economic Forum to a close, CPA Alfred Kabuchu, Vice President of ICPAU, called on participants to turn ideas into impact. He encouraged professionals to remain committed to advancing good governance, strengthening accountability, and contributing to policies and initiatives that will power Uganda's economic transformation.
He also expressed heartfelt appreciation to the Forum's sponsors, speakers, participants, organising committee, Secretariat, and all partners whose unwavering support and dedication made the event a success.
He urged participants to carry forward the knowledge, partnerships, and momentum built over the past three days, ensuring that the conversations held at the Forum translate into meaningful action for Uganda's sustainable economic growth.

ICPAU President CPA David Timothy Ediomu welcomed delegates and reaffirmed the Institute's commitment to shaping Uganda's economic future through evidence-based policy dialogue and professional leadership during his opening remarks at the 14th CPA Economic Forum.
He applauded the Government's commitment to domestic revenue mobilisation and the implementation of the ATMS strategy, agro-industrialisation, tourism development, minerals, and science & technology—as key pillars for accelerating Uganda's economic growth.
Speaking under the theme, "Powering Uganda's US$500 Billion Future," CPA David Timothy Ediomu called for accountability, innovation, sound governance, strategic investment, and strong partnerships to drive sustainable economic transformation and realise the country's long-term development ambitions.

CPA Alfred Beitwababo Kabuchu, Vice President ICPAU, highlighted the milestone achieved by CPA finalists, during the release of the May 2026 Examinations Results,
Key highlights:
— 117 students completed the CPA course compared to 121 in December 2025
— 61 (52.1%) finalists are female, while 56 (47.9%) are male
— The total number of students who have completed the CPA course now stands at 5,676
CPA Kabuchu congratulated finalists on reaching this important milestone, noting that completion reflects dedication, resilience, and commitment to professional excellence.

The Public Accountants Examinations Board (PAEB) has released the May 2026 Examinations Results, presented by CPA Alfred Beitwababo Kabuchu, Vice President ICPAU, on behalf of PAEB.
The May 2026 examination diet marked the first of the three examination sessions for 2026, with the next diets scheduled for August and December 2026.
A total of 6,682 candidates sat for the CPA and CTA examinations across seven centres: Arua, Fort Portal, Gulu, Kampala, Mbale, Mbarara, and Nkozi.
