Free cEDH lesson:
The most important tactic to remember when playing Kinnan is to select your pregame scapegoat. This way people don't look at your obvious threat and instead focus on the "turbo" player.
Dm me for more monees plz
@LemorasCards@JordanPQuinn Agreed. Something I hear way too much from new players is:
"I didn't play during the Dockside days, but if I did I know I'd have hated it"
And it's like bro if you weren't around then don't even go in on that topic. We went from vintage/ legacy to amateur speech and debate.
@TreyganM Funny enough it plays exactly like a normal cedh pod. The only difference is that things go faster and plays are crisper. Got to see an "nbc" Gor Muldrak, Amphinologist pop off last night
There's two historic pieces which many people don't know:
1. Rhystic/ fish were already identified as must counter cards by the top players at least as far back as 2019 (pre breacher).
2. Dockside had a compounding effect in terms of punishing big midrange boards.
Breacher on it's own wasn't what kept rhystic in check. It was breacher with dockside with players who were actively willing to counter it. Nbc didn't develop back then because it was harder to do and there were better things to be doing with your mana.
@AugustMourns@SadRobotAlters Hullbreacher meta kept they rhystic slop stuff in check. It might not be enough tbh and rhystic still may need to go, but during that time period there really wasn't the same problems as there are now.
