Palaeoecologist interested in terrestrial-aquatic ecosystems. Hikes around studying lake mud and microfossils of Quaternary environments. Views are my own.

Last week, senior lecturer Kristen Beck and MSc student James Cameron from @UoLGeography started a new project with our Wilder Doddington team. By taking sediment samples from the Fishpond they aim to uncover details about the landscape from centuries ago. #wilderwednesday#UoL
Absolutely loved this book and could not recommend it enough! Great read about palaeo, climate and science and from a woman in STEM to boot. Thank you @DrMattHannaford for the lovely wedding gift. #treestory
Last week the Lincoln Climate Research Group & Lincoln @The_GA hosted climate scientist Dr Julie Jones (of @sheffieldgeog).

@UoLGeography Geographer's learning the importance of peat and how to collect a natural archive for Quaternary Science. Thanks @LincsWildlife for hosting us again at Crowle Moor. It is one of our favourite annual visits #chooseGeography#Palaeo
On Monday, Crowle Moor welcomed Palaeoecological students on their annual trip from @unilincoln to take peat cores. They achieved the deepest core yet and left with (mostly) dry feet and a hot drink from the Crowle Peatland Railway!

Being an involved dad can be more straightforward for fathers who have supportive family networks, adequate housing and secure routes to education and employment, as well as access to effective service support. https://t.co/HZ6u00pKjW
The 1st Women in Science Symposium hosted by @CCRG_Lincoln was a huge success! Thank you all for your participation and presenting your work. We have a wonderful community of female scientists here at @unilincoln. Looking forward to fostering this community and the next event
Reminiscing about some amazing fieldwork at ELA in Sept 2023 @IISD_ELA. Just started counting the pollen this week and looking forward to seeing the results! Stay tuned... @CCRG_Lincoln@LincolnPalaeo
