Myself and my work mates will be sleeping out on the 6th November to raise funds for @1625ip an amazing local organisation who do fantastic work supporting our young people in Bristol. Please donate and circulate if you can. Thank you. https://t.co/BFbv5ZvGcP
Me too! Hopeful positive thoughts on the impact of lockdown for some children - I’ve certainly observed this for some of our children experiencing amazing 24/7 therapeutic care from our foster carers. Although of course not without recognising the extreme difficulty for others...
Webinar tomorrow with Bessel van der Kolk hosted by @ACEsConnection following the release of @CrackedUpMovie on Netflix - the story of Darell Hammond and the impact #childhoodtrauma had on his life - bit late for UK folk but if you register you will get the link for the recording
Please join us for a virtual conversation to connect with our Cracked Up community about the lifelong impact of childhood trauma, especially now during the coronavirus pandemic.

2/2...the children love seeing other and the sessions and we do too - there’s been milk bottle bird feeders, paper frogs, junk models, yoga, scavenger hunts...if you work with a group of children that know each other it’s really worth a go #CopingWithCovid#fosterforbristol
1/2 ‘adapting to new ways of working’ - our team have been doing some amazing work with the children - ‘Zoom School’ has been a great success - the children get to do a fun activity with other children for 30 mins and the carers get a break (sometimes!)
Please RT and help send a huge THANK YOU to all the residential care staff and foster carers who are working so hard to ensure that children in care are kept safe and have the support they need during this challenging time.
THANK YOU!

Workers in our service still being out there with our children and their amazing creativity in staying in touch with those we cannot see face to face. As always I am inspired and blown away by the amazing resilience of our children and love and commitment of our carers.
