@JethroWells69@MotherToLucy@Pumpjack4L Because the school has argued they’re only following a court order obtained by Sorsby all on his own. If that’s the case, why did they appeal the NCAA?
TTU also voted to ban all members of the athletic program from gambling last November, why are they going back on their word?
@JethroWells69@MotherToLucy@Pumpjack4L That completely destroys the whole “Sorsby did this on his own and we’re simply following a legal court decision” argument, which is what TTU and its fans have been trying to make.
@MisterWreckEm@Red_Dead_Fred I look forward to our movie about the 16-0 (National Champions) Hoosiers.
Can you give me an update on Tech’s upcoming movie premiere? It’s about how y’all scored 0 points in the CFP then turned around and paid $5M to a gambling addict.
@crb0712@EerBeard@slmandel You want to focus on if integrity was actually compromised, but it’s always been about the risk to integrity and punitively punishing those that threaten it.
Care to explain how this case has been “litigated” when his trial hasn’t even occurred?
@land97740@STXAmbassador Sorsby absolutely cannot do that, but it’s cute seeing you Tech fans pretend he can.
Hell, Tech voted last November in favor of strict bans on athletes who gamble. They have their own rules and conference bylaws they can use. They’re not helpless like you wish they are.
@thelazyboymf@olivia_duh@ChadBrendel I’ve already acknowledged the injunction as a separate action. TTU ruled Sorsby ineligible so they could appeal the NCAA’s ineligibility ruling. That action alone points to the University believing Sorsby should have retained some level of eligibility for this season.
@thelazyboymf@olivia_duh@ChadBrendel Yes, the injunction was about the NCAA vs Sorsby. But TTU has taken action against the NCAA (originally appealed the ineligibility ruling), proving they too have fought for and believe Sorsby should retain some level of eligibility.

@thelazyboymf@olivia_duh@ChadBrendel Wrong, TTU themselves appealed the NCAA’s ineligible ruling. That proves Tech also believes he should retain some level of eligibility so that they’d have the right to play him.
The injunction also doesn’t force TTU to play Sorsby or even place him on the active roster.
@adamdangeross@flatland_sports My bad, placing bets on unders against your own team/teammates isn’t by definition betting against your own team. But framing all he did as “betting on his team” like you Tech fans do is either purposely misleading or plain ignorance.
@thelazyboymf@olivia_duh@ChadBrendel Actively preventing him from betting by placing him right back in the environment he claimed made him want to bet in the first place.
If he’s so sick why is TTU fighting to retain eligibility for him this year? Shouldn’t the main focus be on fighting his addiction?
@thelazyboymf@olivia_duh@ChadBrendel “We’re giving him the help he needs by keeping him in the same type of environment that caused the issue in the first place”
You people are unserious.
@Ritter_1414@taylorcaniff@ralphamsden What Indiana DIDN’T do is actively fight for his eligibility after finding out he bet against his fellow team.
That’s all on Tech
@Ritter_1414@taylorcaniff@ralphamsden Actually, he bet against his team as well, but it’s not surprising you don’t know the facts.
He was also clearly using techniques to circumvent the detection systems (like using family accounts). How can Indiana monitor every single thing every one of their players do?
@Ritter_1414@taylorcaniff@ralphamsden Yes, Sorsby got away with gambling against his team at Indiana and it’s disgusting. Although there was no way for Indiana to know about it, just like Tech didn’t either.
Your school is the one actively fighting for the ability to play him even after knowing what he did.
