@durgapal "Road tax" or Vehicle Excise Duty (£7.4bn) is nowhere near the amount spent on road maintenance (£11.1bn). In fact it is less than the monthly interest payments on government debt (£8.5bn).
@tvprp Can you also please ask drivers to buy neon coloured cars. It helps us see them when they are drunk and drugged up and driving above the speed limit whilst scrolling though social media on their phones and driving without their headlights on.
@Gbooth0 @tvprp It's worth cycling at least 1 metre from a stationary vehicle as drivers can open their doors without correctly looking over their shoulder when doing so.
This is exactly what you should do. Slow down, assess the situation, be patient. Then overtake when you can see there is more than enough room to do so safely. It's a lot less time than you'd spend regretting killing someone.
@monsieurballard@MikeyCycling Most F1 teams have their own cycling club. I've seen Mercedes F1 whilst out on the road. The teams are very positive towards active travel and road safety.
@timbearder Today is the day to vote for a candidate that supports what you want, not to vote to stop another candidate. But all PCC candidates have had poor communication in the lead up to this vote.
@dshensmith@theJeremyVine This is the same for most things. Money talks. If all car parks had signs saying "please only park here if you're visiting us" instead of enforcement then no one would adhere. That's why you see pubs, doctors surgeries and coffee shops signing up to Car Park Management companies.
@Dave36456 @MikeyCycling If people didn’t drive like bellends then Michael wouldn’t have any drivers to report
So is it the drivers fault, or Michael’s fault?
@SusanneReid68@HSummerfie71268 This individual probably calls anything he doesn't like a nonce. Just a limited mind. Limited minds also think everyone can drive a car if they have enough money. @Sandford_Police would only really be interested in arresting these nonce callers for wasting oxygen.
Bahahahahahaha..... Another ROAD TAX fool. Yes let's bring in VED for cycles so cyclists still pay £0 and motorists have to foot the bill for all the letters that are sent out to confirm cyclists have zero tailpipe emissions from their engines.
@gazzabiker Motorists don't want to face the reality that they are the most dangerous road users. The Motor Insurance Bureau believes that over 1 million uninsured motorists use the road every day, which is more than all daily cyclists (insured or not). https://t.co/OwiVqeZweu
