@theoldzealand In a flipped situation, if it was wrongfully blown dead in the middle of the Egyptian counter attack before the foul call was overturned and the ball given to Egypt over an Argentine free kick, the ruined chance would have been the narrative. It was right to let them play on.

Salah lost via good defending the ball before the Argentine defender stepped on him (incidental contact from Salah dribbling at the defender). Egypt’s removed goal was from them stepping on the opponent to win possession. The sequence of events matters.
