@bencollins1919 Aye. We have done a lot of good work in that respect (free/cheap tickets for schools & local clubs, cheap ST and including a free shirt), but it all takes a long time to show, and we are only really now seeing the first generation where kids' parents have us as their 'main' team.
Now I understand why the club didn't give the ticket prices in all their previous Season Ticket posts 😂
North Stand ST have increased £45 (11%) for Adults and £60 (16%) for Concessions, Terrace increased £35 (10%) and £40 (12.5%), West Stand increased £30 (6.5%) and £35 (8%).
Without knowing the regional splits for certain yet, our likely potential new grounds in Round One are:
- QPR
- Southampton
- Swansea City
- West Brom
- West Ham
- York City
Bromley will be new to many of us, but we have played there in 1992 and 1993.
We have the possibility of another new ground in R1 of the League Cup, should York beat Crawley in the preliminary round, as they would then be in the southern section (could be Plymouth or Exeter vs York in the southern section - ridiculous). Draw made 25th June.
@deanos13 Obviously get what you mean (and sure you will also agree with my next point) but I am not sure I have ever not enjoyed chatting with him. He just gets us, genuinely cares about us, and most of all is just a seriously top bloke.
It is impossible to not love the guy, but you feel/fear this coming season is going to be his biggest test.
Many of our fans will expect/demand playoffs again, despite it being a huge overachievement, with anything less seeing lots of moaning. This whole ST stuff won't help him.
"We have to continue to set our standards and keep improving those all the time, in everything we do." 🚀
Part two of Alex Revell's Off-Season Update is available to watch now!
@bencollins1919 Absolutely. Trying to secure/keep those who could give us their attendance for many years to come, but whilst also annoying those who are arguably more likely to stick with us through tougher times and who likely have more money (albeit for fewer years in the mid-long term).

@Fi_SFC_fan Assume the default option is to add it digitally to Google/Apple wallet, or to the app of Fanbase or whatever the new people we are using are called (not bothered creating an account myself yet), and the fee is a penalty for anybody not wanting to be digital.
@NPMetcalfe It is the add-on stuff (which was all previously free) on top of the price increase, and forcing people to attend the club shop to do so, that is bullshit.
Enhanced fan experience my arse.
Making people go to the club shop (and pay an extra £25) to pay in installments, go to the shop to buy a ST if using things like an NHS discount, and charging a fiver for a physical ST card (previously free) also don't feel like improving the fan experience as the club suggested.
Things are a lot more expensive, and we often freeze the price, but it feels a steep increase and price, which I fear will see reduced crowds.
Many on the fence will not purchase a ST, and with matchday prices also increasing, if we don't do well we will be seeing low crowds...
@boroguide Is this because of all the time it takes (plus a lack of engagement), and preferring to prioritise the kids and life in general?
If so, totally fair, I sometimes wonder why I bother.
