@speechboy71@aseitzwald Hey friend… something I’ll add
is that “generic dem” almost universally outperforms any specific dem candidate… any race, any level. I’m sure some1 has coined a term for it, but it’s essentially the “mythical dem.” Voters love the IDEA of a Dem, until you give them a name.
@menhguin@NicholasBardy Yeah I mean both points can be true: While all Americans aren’t going to be in the running for Fortune 500 CEOs, technically any American COULD be if they wanted to… the beauty of the American Dream (I have doubts if that’s still the case but that’s a seperate discussion lol).
@sunnkssdseraph@soigomaa There’s a quote by Stephen Gould that goes “I am less interested in the weight and convolutions of Einstein's brain than in the near certainty that people of equal talent have lived and died in cotton fields and sweatshops.” And that has always stuck with me.
🚨 BEHIND CLOSED DOORS 🚨 They know destroying the US Forest Service is illegal, which is why they are trying to rush it through without a fight. Don't let them. Flood Congress with letters in 2 clicks right here:

@MontyVale143 @The0_o7 @electionsjoe Technically it seems like for primary purposes any voter can vote in either primary but that the last primary you voted in does “follow” you and that’s what is used for “party status.” So, a more accurate way to say it seems to be that most OH voters don’t vote in primaries.
@QuarryCo@Stephenpepsi@admcrlsn Is today the deadline to remove themselves from the ballot? Is that why you say that? That’d make sense though exceptions can always be made for corruption, just look at NC where they allowed RFK to remove himself from the ballot well past the deadline.
@RationalBeard@Aella_Girl Yea, I don’t think ppl get that part… though the question seems to have an order of operations effect… cause like if the standard of living decreased first but THEN 99% of the top 0.1%’s wealth disapeared, as you said, everyone’s new adjusted standard would rise, significantly.
@GeneralGrantW@bigblackjacobin I disagree because she literally could’ve endorsed Bernie and didn’t when she dropped out… instead she dropped out and endorsed Biden.
I still appreciate Warren for being one of the concerningly few progressive voices in the senate, but she is clearly not ride die like Lander.
@BryanRAnderson Okay but what about which ones need to update and which ones can “keep voting as normal?” Again, seems ripe for abuse. I hope it’s not, but clearly modern examples aren’t supportive of fair play in favor of the voters and democracy.
@tebohn1962@ForwardCarolina This isn’t a school it’s the public library, no one is “flaunting their sexuality,” this situation is about LGBT folks right to have books that represent them just as much as anyone else, you clearly have deep fear & loathing or you wouldn’t completely misrepresent the situation.
