If your clients give you references with heavy lighting or ambient lighting and you cant seem to get the right skin tone...

THROW FLESH CUBES AT THEM AND HAVE THEM PICK ONE.

I've been using these for years and I've never had anyone tell me I've gotten their skin tone wrong.

When in doubt skin cubes.

@melty_chan Define 'good advice'. Much of it is just cherry picking features of what people assume to be black representation, when it is, for example, a Sri Lankan.
Not every tone south of Caucasian is automatically African.

@1sco407 Malaysia has had a lot of the same history as black people, but unlike black people, they moved on. They rebuilt their country after slavery. It's a strength in spirit to rise beyond history like that and blossom. One you people are lacking in.

@kkongshic_123 It's unfortunate. Humans are a very diverse group, and any skin colour / hair colour chart proves this. There's differences between various races, let alone that mixed people exist, and carry over traits from both parents (which can be anything).
