La colonia Zacamil en Mejicanos, está siendo intervenida artísticamente con murales en los edificios, parte del Custom Made Stories, una organización extranjera.

Su objetivo es lograr una reurbanización en "La supermanzana", donde artistas nacionales e internacionales pintan sus mejores diseños, incluso algunos en 3d.

Hasta el momento se han intervenido al menos 20, de un poco más de 30 edificaciones.

In January, Giuseppe De Mattia ran a series of artistic workshops with community members in Zacamil. He chose to co-create a new typical element that could be reflective of the community and a characteristic of Zacamil- the tile (Azujelos)

These flags were the product of intergenerational collaboration, with participants working alongside one another and Matteo to design symbols of shared identity. Now in Italy, Matteo is refining them at #Gate44 before returning to #Zacamil to select the flag with the community.

Pintemos Zacamil was brought to a memorable close through the rhythmic samba beats of #ZakaZamba. 

The community driven drum ensemble was founded by Jovel, with the goal of providing youth a positive outlet. #custommadestories

Thriving in groups, this small bird represents the beauty of connection and shared life. The two parts of the mural speak of the bond between nature, community and rebirth.
