Our Executive Director Brian Rudd visited the Melbourne headquarters of our Eco Detection business this week, meeting with the team and hearing about some of the exciting initiatives they are progressing.
Eco Detection’s High Resolution Nutrient Profiling solution provides continuous, real-time nutrient monitoring for smarter water management. With remote monitoring capability, it is ideally suited to mining and exploration environments, delivering faster insights, reducing in-field monitoring requirements, and supporting proactive risk management. The team is now preparing for two further significant installations in the coming weeks, as the technology continues to demonstrate clear value and strengthen environmental stewardship across complex operating environments.

“The partnership between Capital Limited and Don Bosco Technical College has been truly invaluable to our institution. Beyond financial support, they have generously given their time, expertise, and genuine commitment to improving the lives of our students and future generations.
Their team has consistently demonstrated a hands-on approach, supporting us through both virtual and in-person engagement, sharing technical skills to enhance the safety and quality of our workshops and training facilities. What stands out most is their responsiveness, professionalism, and the care with which they approach every interaction.
Capital has gone above and beyond the initial scope of our collaboration, showing a sincere interest in building a long-term partnership. From attending our 2025 graduation ceremony to supporting plans for student exposure through site visits, their dedication is evident.

Working in remote exploration environments means preparedness is critical.
We’re proud to highlight another important safety initiative delivered for our Egypt Exploration team organised by Ahmed Shawqy, Senior HSE Officer.
Recognising the challenges of working in remote locations, team members recently completed comprehensive first aid training, combining practical and theoretical learning, with certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
The initiative follows the team’s recent completion of certified firefighting training, continuing to strengthen their emergency response capabilities and ensuring they are well equipped to respond confidently and effectively in the field.

🌟Congratulations to Scott Reilly (Project Manager), Mathew Clarke (Operations Manager) and our team at the Geita Gold Mine in Tanzania, who have been recognised with the client’s Zero HARM Award. 🌟
This award celebrates individuals and teams who take proactive steps to eliminate or control safety hazards in support of AngloGold Ashanti’s goal of operating free from occupational injuries and illness.
The team introduced synthetic wireline to the diamond drill rigs - a stronger, more durable alternative to traditional steel wireline. This lightweight solution reduces rod trips caused by wireline breakage, lowering manual handling demands for our crews. It also reduces stored‑energy risks in the event of a line failure and improves overall handling efficiency due to its lighter weight and flexibility.
🦺Well done to the team for your continued commitment to improving safety on site and supporting our client’s safety objectives.

Introducing our first brand-new rubber track mounted crawler cab.
The new cabs are designed to keep our drillers and their crews more comfortable and protected from extreme weather conditions in some regions where we work, including scorching heat, heavy wet season rains or snow.
Our crews will enjoy:
1. Climate-controlled cabin with heating and airconditioning
2. Hydraulic cabin extension to ensure we can place the cab in the best position on site
3. Durable rubber tracks for safe transport particularly in muddy, wet or snowy site terrain
4. Compact, versatile design limits site footprint and surrounding environmental disturbance
5. Tramming and setup via RC remote, plus hands-free rod handling for added safety and ease of use.
Our thanks to Odyssey Fluid Power who have worked closely with us to bring this idea to life and incorporated a range of safety features to ensure our team are not only comfortable, but most importantly, safe.
This first unit is off to Zambia where our drill crews operate in a broad range of weather through the year, from downpours in the wet season, to cold nights during winter and extreme heat during summer. We'll be rolling further units out across our operations to improve comfort for our teams where they are operating in these kinds of extreme conditions.
