@johnrobertgage What happens at the university does not stay at the university. As goes the universities, so goes the culture. It runs downstream.
This isn’t unique to higher education either. These teachers then get jobs in high schools and bring their Marxist worldview with them.
I really don’t like hearing non-Christians talk about Easter as if it’s some abstract allegory. It’d be better not to talk about it at all.
Good Friday isn’t about sacrifice. It’s about Jesus’s sacrifice. God-made-flesh shed his blood on the cross for our sins, so that by grace through faith we could be forgiven and reconciled to God.
Acts 4:12: “And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.”
@Coach_Frenzen Shoutout NCAA 06. Best NCAA ever. I still remember every song from it, and every time I hear one, it takes me back to playing it on the PS2.

Jeremiah 9:23-24 ESV
“Thus says the Lord: “Let not the wise man boast in his wisdom, let not the mighty man boast in his might, let not the rich man boast in his riches, but let him who boasts boast in this, that he understands and knows me, that I am the Lord who practices steadfast love, justice, and righteousness in the earth. For in these things I delight, declares the Lord.””
@TNaiberk@schicknickshow What typa challenges does putting Thanksgiving leftovers in the cottage cheese container present?… “In what? It’s in a clear container”…. Oh that was last year
I am for any campaign that brings people to the gospel, but, again, He Gets Us misses the mark. There is nothing at all in their ads about who Christ is or why we need Him. It’s not even remotely implied. If anything, an unbeliever walks away feeling affirmed that Jesus is, at most, his buddy who exists to cheer him on.
That said, God can use anything, and I have always prayed hearts would be softened even through imperfect means.
@ryanfred 1. The reliability of the Gospel accounts
2. Jesus’ divinity
3. Evidence that Jesus rose from the dead
The resurrection of Jesus is the linchpin of Christianity. The Christian apologetic needs to be root & branch an apologetic for Jesus Christ.
