Both of which after one of our biggest rescue months ever are not in the budget.
It’s a split second decision playing out in real time.
What would you do?
What would you do?
Our vet tech & mom text a lot.
But when the phone rings mom knows it’s serious.
That happened late today.
Someone called the vet saying they had a pregnant pup in labor for 18 HOURS.
They needed to surrender her.
The local shelter said no.
Multiple rescues contacted said no.
Without a “yes” mom & the puppies will very likely die, if they are still alive.
It would be an emergency c-section.
It’s committing to puppies for 8 weeks.
Remember Buttons?
Found laying in a yard with a broken leg.
Now Doc, he’s a happy, healthy, active tripod!
He loves his parents & fur sib & even got to try swimming! ♥️
There have been several times when we found the perfect fit for an applicant not chosen for their original pup within the next few weeks.
Truth is, we work for the pups, not the people.
Love,
Cass ♥️
We truly value all applicants.
We are honored when people apply for one of our pups.
With so many pups in need, we really are so grateful when someone chooses a pup from our organization.
It honestly hurts our heart when there are several amazing applications.
But different pups need different things & we do our very much to match pups with applicants that fit those needs.
However, if you berate our volunteers & have your reference curse us out because you were not chosen for the pup you applied for….
well then clearly we made the right decision.
Because that’s not ok.
