Unfortunately, it matters, especially as a person of color. Being likeable can you get you into way more doors than people realize. People are always willing to coach/train up someone likeable.

@charity_vimbai I had the exact same experience! To be honest it allowed me to accept that home can be two different places- where my story begins and also where I became adult me. In Zim I nurture my family-the community that raised me and in the diaspora I nurture the community I built.
