@FootballInT80s There are two types of World Cup: 1 - the football is brilliant, and memorable; 2 - there is drama and great stories are created. Ideally you want a crossover of both (1986 for instance). 1990 very much in the second bracket. There is a third type: 2010 (crap in both respects)
@gavin_poulton The greatest player 99.9% of folks won't have seen play, let alone heard of, is now going to be a major club blunder - all based on some very spurious reports of a potential transfer linking him with EIGHT (8) clubs [waves at agent]
@markpolky Bless you Mark. Alan used to live next door to me when he was at WBA and was kind enough to be interviewed for my book From Buzaglo to Balis. A lovely man. I hope you're ok today
What they said about THE SLUM SPORT:
"...a fantastic read about one of the most compelling seasons in English football..." @draper_rob
"...suitably wistful in places, suitably withering in others..." @OliverKay
"...it truly is a cracking read..." Barry Davies MBE
ANOTHER UPSET AT THE FRENCH OPEN! 😱
With World No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka's loss, there will be no former major champion left in both the men's or women's semifinal.
The last major when that happened was the 1977 French Open.
The only people excited about Sticks’n’Sushi coming to Birmingham are the people who are yet to eat there. When are we going to use these central spaces for Brum talent and not another mundane outside chain?
@iainmacintosh_ Agree with this. Five is too many, and bloats squads unnecessarily. Many of those players could be getting regular football further down the pyramid. There are too many players being stockpiled at clubs for five minutes here or there,
@HLTCO There are some excellent broadcasters on that station, but you'll only generally hear them on Saturdays covering games. Those are the proper radiomen/women. The regular shows (H&J and Trans EE a big exception) are generally just there to rabble-rouse

@fifamedia Why are you involved in booking up mass amounts of hotel rooms, limiting supply for fans and thus causing them to buy at higher prices, before cancelling as you don't need them, after fans have paid way over the odds for them in an artificial shortage and economy you created?
