This was a women’s rights protest was back in January while Biden was still in office. There are no longer protests of this size. And the media has been exposed the last 2 months, so they are busy trying to repair their credibility. Covering vandalism (disguised as small protests) is not the medias priority.

It’s not really “punishing” those making more than $150,000. Those people pay taxes today and would continue to. And it doesn’t punish entrepreneurs anymore than it does today.

If paying tax vs not paying a tax is someone’s deciding factor in becoming an entrepreneur, they shouldn’t even be considering becoming one.

You should worry less about the U.S. “betraying ” you and more about China. They have majority ownership in all of your major electric grids and natural gas networks. They also have controlling ownership of your major ports, one being the largest in the world. Not to mention 33% of all exports go to China. They own you, and could cripple your country at will. That is what betrayal looks like. it’s just a matter of time. And the more you flee to China the worse it gets for Australia.

You absolutely should spend more money locally! Every country should. That’s a good thing, and precisely one of the primary reasons the U.S. started implementing tariffs; we want more business producing goods and services in our country, as opposed to being a net importer.

No, the primary importers of U.S agricultural products (corn and beef since you are singling out Nebraska) are:

Mexico, China, Japan, South Korea, Columbia, and various other South America countries.

Between Japan, South Korea, and various South America countries, we would be ok. Not ideal obviously, and I’m by no means advocating for ending a trade relationship with anyone, but if it happened we would do just fine.

But it does mean anyone fighting tooth and nail against that mandate becomes suspect at best. Especially those taking that fight public.

I understand your point that housing prices are ridiculous, because they are. But this suggestion would decimate the economy to the point no one could afford a home.

60% of net worth for most families is held in home equity. Your suggestion would wipe away trillions of dollars in wealth and would leave millions underwater on mortgages.

It would also significantly increase mortgage defaults, especially with the 14% of FHA loans already delinquent. Banks and lenders holding these mortgages would suffer massive losses that would destabilize the financial system just like 2008.

And none of the above even considers the unemployment rate that would skyrocket due to the economic shock.

Simply put, your suggestion would be disastrous for everyone.

We would be fine. Canada on the other hand would fall into a massive depression. Given that Canadian exports to the U.S. alone account for 19% of GDP, and considering the ripple effects such as supply chain disruptions, job losses in export-dependent sectors and reduced business investment—a conservative estimate would be a GDP loss of at least 25-30% from lost exports and imports.

Your economy would be obliterated.

There is an abundance of proof showing wasteful spending. If you don’t believe it now, you never will. What else do you expect to see as proof?

Yeah if you take a step back from the current “feud” we are seeing, it appears to be nothing more than an attempt to divide the MAGA base.

Seems eerily similar to Pam Bondi where one day we woke up and suddenly everyone was divided on her.

Same thing seems to be happening with Kash and his alleged “support” of the Tates.

Which is why I’m questioning Massie to begin with. It seems to follow a pattern where division on a particular person blows up suddenly overnight.

I can agree this is a big plus. And he seems like a genuine conservative, at least from what I have gathered, so perhaps that’s why he’s considered a “grandstander”.

And we certainly don’t want a bunch of POTUS yes men. But we also don’t want someone who consistently opposes the agenda unnecessarily. Was him opposing Trump on this particular issue worth it? What is it truly accomplishing at the end of the day?

From what I have seen is he is critical and scrutinizes everything before voting. Which is a good thing.

But I also don’t see him having a record of offering any solutions. It’s one thing to be critical, it’s another to be critical yet offer no alternative solutions.

Is there any recent bills or resolutions he was critical of while actually offering solutions? I’m digging but haven’t found anything yet. I must missing something?

I’m not going to make any judgments until I am better informed on him, but I agree that from what I have seen he’s a great talker. No one seems to know what he has truly accomplished.

Seems him not being “bought and paid for” is the common response. Which, if true, is a great thing. I can support that. But that doesn’t mean he’s capable of accomplishing anything.

Hopefully I can hear about some tangible things he’s accomplished
