What you give fire to fuels. Twitter is not a courthouse nor jury. We have a criminal justice system for a reason.

@dxniellaskye I understand ur perspective, I really do. I just really believe the forum is wrong, the forum automatically insinuates these individuals R rapists which to me is defamation & harassment. Some of the stories may have facts to them & they need to be addressed legally.

@dxniellaskye I just personally don’t believe we’re addressing these issues appropriately currently. If I was accused, I’d ignore everything. If I was abused, I wouldn’t be using twitter to tell my story about a person, especially using screenshots and naming them.

@dxniellaskye I understand that people are hurt and are using Twitter to express their grievances. I understand that our Criminal Justice system is not the best. I understand that sometimes our administration fail our students. I also understand these accusations are very serious.

@dxniellaskye But how do we effectively make a change if we settle for a ‘no’ from administration or a ‘ban’ from school? I believe the same energy that we use to fuel various accusations on Twitter should be documented at a police station and demanded to be acted upon.

@dxniellaskye I really really really would love to know what happened (the facts) when they went to the police, the authorities and the school and why nothing happened. If I was that person, I’d be pursuing a hefty lawsuit.

@dxniellaskye And also has brought justice to many — especially victims of sexual assault and abuse. Point being, Twitter does not provide a platform that rectifies crimes of violence.
