No other child should be failed by the country like Harvey was.

The Irish health minister is accused of reneging on a promise to hold a public inquiry into the treatment of children suffering from scoliosis

Carroll MacNeill’s officials told affected families and campaigners on Saturday that they planned to hold an inquiry into the scandal behind closed doors. Harvey’s parents were not invited to the briefing.

“We feel incredibly disappointed that we weren’t invited to the briefing, given everything that has happened and how Harvey was treated, especially knowing he was mentioned in the report. The whole thing seems to be completely diluted and not at all what had been agreed,” Gillian Sherratt, Harvey’s mother, said.

"We want Harvey's story and the way he was failed out in public. They have hidden behind closed doors for long enough. I would call on the minister to put a halt to bringing this to cabinet and instead focus on ensuring that this is the child-centred and family-centred inquiry that was promised to us,' she added

Let me introduce you to Mahboubeh Shabani, a 33-year-old woman from Mashhad received death sentence.

During the January uprising, when protesters were shot and wounded in the streets, Mahboubeh used her motorcycle to take injured people to hospitals.

For this, she was arrested, beaten, held in solitary confinement and imprisoned in Vakilabad Prison.

Now Sepideh Gholian, who was imprisoned with her, says Branch 1 of the Revolutionary Court in Mashhad has sentenced Mahboubeh to death.

Her crime? Helping the wounded.

We still have time to act before another life is taken.

Got a notification on here to let me know it had was my X anniversary. Three years ago I started this page and shared the video so many people remember. The video of Harvey struggling to breathe.
That same day I rang the General Manager in CHI temple street in desperation, that day I said to her that CHI and their lack of treatment was killing my child. That was the point where they linked him to the surgeon who would later (allegedly) remove Harvey from the spinal waiting list and declare him ‘not fit for a sneeze’.
It would be another 13 months from that video before Harvey would get his surgery.
Then he lived for just 8 more months.
This is the legacy of CHI.
There are still children under the care of the same surgeon who did that to Harvey, and it seems this government have no urgency or desire to ensure those children don’t suffer the same fate.

Healthcare is a fundamental human right, and that includes the right to compassionate, accessible, and community-centered care for our elders. Displacing our most vulnerable citizens is profoundly cruel. We must stand with Eddie, Margaret, and every family affected by this decision.

Here’s a sentence that should shock anyone who still thinks the Islamic Republic has a justice system.

Arghavan Fallahi is 24 years old. She is sitting in Evin Prison under a death sentence.

She formally asked the judiciary to reopen her case and spare her life.

Today, reports say that request was rejected. Which means she can now be executed at any moment. It just brakes my heart that she did everything to save her life.

And this is the part where the Islamic Republic wants the world to look away and say, “Well, it’s an internal legal matter.”

No. It isn’t.

When a 24-year-old woman can be sentenced to death after a political prosecution, and the same system that arrested her, interrogated her, tried her and condemned her also gets to decide whether she deserves another hearing, that is not justice.

That is the government acting as police, prosecutor, judge and executioner and then calling the whole thing due process.

I wrote about Arghavan before because I did not want the world to learn her name after she was hanged.

She is alive right now. And this is exactly when governments, journalists and human-rights organizations should speak before the execution, not after the obituary.

The Islamic Republic executed rapper Erfan Mirzaei on Sunday, September 6, at the morning adhan, in Dastgerd Prison in Isfahan. No warning. No last call to his family. The rope and the silence.

He was a young rapper. His crime was standing against a regime that kills to survive. He sang of freedom and hope in a country where a song can cost your life. Those who knew him remember a young man full of fire, art, and big dreams. The regime stole all of it in a single dawn, while the world slept.

He was arrested during the January protests and executed in secret, while the Islamic Republic continues slaughtering January protesters in Iran's prisons under a total news blackout.

His funeral is today, Say his name. Do not let the gallows have the last word.
