@emmyruiz You never cease to amaze me, Emmy. Your leadership buoyed so many — especially the organizers on the ground and even us insiders — despite the noise and storm surrounding us. President Biden, and future President Harris are better off because of your loyalty and service. ❤️
No one is above the law, including a former President of the United States. The prospect of a criminal running for the highest office of the land is an affront, and frankly dangerous, for the integrity of our democracy.
REMINDER To the people in the back who are busy blaming Democrats for not bailing Republicans out of their idiocy:
- You call us communists.
- You call us groomers.
- You vote against our bills, and then try to take credit for them when they pass because they're great.
- You insult our President while he's conducting critical foreign policy.
- You nominate THE WORST GUY who hasn't passed a bill, and knew all about January 6th.
- And you want to shut down the government AND you're trying to kill Social Security and Medicare.
And you expect US to bail YOU out?
Where were YOU for Speaker Pelosi in 2007 or 2021? NONE of you voted for her.
I'm sick and tired of people letting Republicans act as crazy as they want without repercussions, and then blaming Democrats for not being MORE adult.
The House is broken because Republicans are idiots who cannot legislate.
PERIOD.
At this point, I think it's safe to say that @JakeSherman speaks for all of us. Pretty sure he’d outperform any GOP candidate for Speaker – both in votes and the job.
Come on @Delta — was it really necessary to force gate-check even Main boarding zone passengers? Kind of ridiculous. Do we need more FAA prescriptive regulations added to FAA Reauth? (DL2613)
When I said I wouldn’t vote for a deal that doesn’t include paid sick leave, I meant it.
Whether it's the incredible heat of the southwest or the bitter cold winters in cities like Chicago – rail workers never stop. They keep our country moving.
My vote today is for them!
In Chicago, you know you’re part of something big. We live in the city of broad shoulders. But today, from crime to unemployment to affordable housing, there's uncertainty ahead.
I’m running for Mayor of Chicago because it’s time to build a brighter future – together.
.@Hyundai still so deeply disappointing. Especially with all the federal attention on EVs — these anecdotes highlight some serious concerns with the current state of affairs with manufacturers like yourselves. Needs to get resolved.
@Hyundai I was so excited when I bought a #Ioniq5 in June! A switch from @Toyota and my first Hyundai and EV. Buts it’s since been a disastrous experience.

Hoping this isn’t the story I have to keep sharing with my colleagues on the Transportation Cmte in the House, but certainly doesn’t portend well for continued advocacy for EV adoption.
