While work progresses at Bridge 27 this week, we expect to re-open the whole line on Saturday, 21st September, with trains running from Keighley to Oxenhope again. Just under three weeks after the last train crossed the old bridge and it was removed.

Steaming away from Damems Junction, the 137-year-old locomotive 'Green Dragon' was this time last week under a blue sky and sunshine as part of our 'Summer Steam'.

52044 will next be in service for the 'Autumn Steam-Up' event, 4th - 6th October.

The Bridge 27 Renewal Project got underway yesterday, within seconds of the last train passing over the bridge, with volunteers removing four track sections.

The Bahamas Locomotive Society's 50-ton steam helped remove the old bridge spans.

Today is Ross Graham's last turn in the cab. He finished his driving career with a day on D0226 'Vulcan' after 12 years of driving, over 30 years as a fireman, and many other roles on the railway.

Vice Chairman Mick Tarran presented Ross with a Gold Pass to the railway.
