@BodreroMichael @NathanJonesBook It’s not because they’re saying, “I’m trans, I’m special. You’re not”.
It’s because they face a myriad of things big and small that I would never even consider because I simply don’t experience the world that way.
But, I’m secure enough not to interpret that as an insult.
@BodreroMichael @NathanJonesBook That’s what “projection” means.
You’re misinterpreting a statement about you simply lacking the ability to fully understand something & twisting it into me saying “I’m more special than you!”
If a trans person told me that I’d never fully understand their experience, I’d agree
@BodreroMichael @NathanJonesBook It’s INSANE that you’re treating racial discrimination as this cool club that I’m denying you entry to.
Being Black IS different. We’re hyper visible and phenotypically different from 85% of the country.
We experience extreme and minute issues due to that.
@BodreroMichael @NathanJonesBook Every single person on the earth experiences implicit bias of some sort, yes.
But, not every person has an entire identity thrust upon them by strangers based on their skin color.
You’re literally whining “I want to be special too”.
But, I don’t WANT to be treated differently.
@BodreroMichael @NathanJonesBook Not that you’d bother to read this.
But, it should be posted in case a person who GENUINELY wants to understand should come across this thread.

@BodreroMichael @NathanJonesBook That, alone, shows that you have little understanding of the Black experience.
You literally cannot contain your disdain for the discussion of racial differences.
Yet you feel SO confident that you could write a Black person in an accurate, genuine way?
Supercilious.
@BodreroMichael @NathanJonesBook I’m not a “unique victim” (frankly, your use of that phrase speaks volumes).
I’m a person who tires of reductive, lazy, uninformed portrayals of Black people.
How can you tell an honest story from a POV that you don’t fully understand & don’t really respect?
@BodreroMichael @NathanJonesBook The first thing people see about me is my skin. It automatically makes me stand out.
People have a visceral reaction to it. They may not even realize that they have it. But, I’M always aware of it.
You cannot possibly understand all the nuances of being Black.
