This "paper supply" of #bitcoin is currently clouding the 21-million-cap reality.
a phenomenon called #financialization.
End the synthetic market: the battle between on-chain reality and institutional "paper" supply.
Switching from cash-settled to physically-settled (Bitcoin-settled) #derivatives would fundamentally change the market by forcing Wall Street to actually compete for the limited 21 million supply.
#PriceSuppression: Because these contracts are often settled in dollars rather than actual #Bitcoin, #WallStreet can sell massive amounts of "paper #BTC" to drive the price down without ever having to buy or hold a single real coin.
