This'll never change unless public interest takes a massive (and I do mean massive) shift all of a sudden, which can -only- be from a combination of third-parties -actually- campaigning seriously, getting seats in the Supreme Court, and from debates giving them equal floor.
Even if every undecided or third-party leaning voter decided to vote third-party for this election, every single one, they'd still have no chance. The system is set up to ensure only two parties are viable.
So yes, it's a wasted vote to me.
When have you ever seen a debate that isn't about a Democrat nominee vs a Republican one? Or any news that isn't strictly about Kamala vs Trump? Or any members of either party even -talking- about a third-party?
Every election is set up so -only- these two parties matter.
