From my experience so far, one of the hardest parts about political organizing is the reality of "On Topic Conversation". Your biggest enemy is the mere fact that people you are trying to organize don't care for what you want for them. The topic discussed in groups....

You are going to have come to face the reality that ascendant Catholic political influence has the trade off of making power structures unable to function optimally. So yeah the people are going to starve regardless.
Yes well, we shouldn’t pretend that an oligarchic state that is directed towards acquirement of the optimal amount of societal rent for itself, wouldn’t, as a consequence, result in the mass famines of countries that are dependent on remittances and foreign aid. A western Catholic state that’s serious about maintaining power will look at the death and suffering its existence will bring and declare it to be just.

The cohesion you might find in communities of whatever kind from past generations survives today in Isolated cults and in Criminal Syndicates. If you are wanting community, you are either going to engage in hyper-social activities that alienate your group from society or crime.
