Is a mechanic where you craft the weapon you'll be using, too much for a wargame?
It's basically just load out selection, but you customise the range, damage etc etc, based on the parts you pick.
(Cards, so it's all there in front of you)
Further to our recent post about our co-founder Paul Sawyerโs health, his wonderful and loving family have asked us to share this fundraising link https://t.co/LJObrw2wQL on his behalf. Please give generously if you are able โ Paul is a legend of the wargaming industry and a truly excellent human being, and as a community, we look after our own.
Many thanks,
John Stallard, Warlord Games co-founder and CEO
Working on something new!!
Details to come... buuuut... what are your favourite themes for skirmish wargames?
I'm thinking post-apocalyptic, gothic fantasy or dark sci-fi.
Think, small cog in a big machine at the end of the world.
I have some sad news for Warlord fans. Warlord's co-founder, the mighty Paul Sawyer, collapsed earlier this year at the Salute show in London and has remained gravely ill for the last four months. Many of our loyal customers have been asking about him. I regret to say Paul will not be well enough to return to work. However, he remains cheerful and is surrounded by his loving family.
Paul and I set up Warlord Games over seventeen years ago, forming a dynamic team that has made tabletop historical gaming accessible to thousands of new hobbyists. His cheery and blokey approach to getting stuff done formed the "Warlord voice" for all these years.
He is hoping to be well enough to attend our Open Day later this month on the 21st September, where I am sure he will be delighted to meet and greet old friends, both customers and staff.
He was the best partner to set up a company with, always in high spirits and working like a trooper โ he will be sorely missed around the Warlord offices.

@425suzanne@GigamicWorld@HachetteBGUSA I played this with my Fiance and my 5 year old.
It's pretty light but still engaging and thought-provoking (as you mentioned, long boat decisions can be vital)
Met the designer at the UKGE.
The game is lovely, snappy, and a good middle ground for pros and newbies alike ๐
His Majesty the Wormย is aย new-school gameย withย old-school sensibilities: a classic megadungeon experience given fresh life through a focus on the mundanities and small moments of daily life inside the dungeon.
Out now!

Crickets in my commissions rn. Usually Iโve got a month of work in my diary, but as of today I have absolutely nothing ๐ซ . Hit me up if you want character designs or illustration work!
@DiscourseMinis The addition of muzzle flashes on guns to make them look cool, even when improbable, is so weird to me.
Other than that, I can't draw to save my life so I'll keep my criticism to myself ๐
